Here's a question that I'm asking people these days, because I'm curious:
If a man pinches a million people in the arm, does that man deserve, in return, to be pinched in the arm ONCE, to equate the level of pain he gave to the each of the million people, or does he deserve to be pinched in the arm ONE MILLION times, to equate the number of people he afflicted (even though it would cause far greater pain and damage to him than he had inflicted on any of the million other people).
And if there's some middle-ground answer, what kind of mathematical curve is there to explain exactly how many pinches he should get, and at what intervals?
I have no idea myself. Let me know what you think.
